Rule of thirds

Rule of thirds: "If you have been taking photos for even a short time, it’s likely you have heard about photographic composition. The composition of a photograph is how you arrange the parts of a photo, so that it looks pleasing and lets the viewer see the story your photo is telling."

For the most part that was me, and phases of those allergies come and go with my immune system. Being a creative and journalist over the years, I’ve had to do shoots where I ended up with red eyes from pollen or totally sick for the next couple of days. Light Painting Project with Wakeboards at Night – PictureCorrect

Light Painting Project with Wakeboards at Night – PictureCorrect: "We’ve discussed the concept of light painting before, but this video taken at the Orlando Watersports Complex brings the practice to a whole new level. Instead of premeditated shapes and patterns being drawn onto the image, photographer Patrick Rochon (in a project sponsored by Red Bull) attaches strip lights onto wakeboards and has athletes perform their manoeuvres in the dark. This creates streaks and shapes that follow the incredible movements of the wakeboarders as they fly across the water’s surface, refracting coloured rays through the spray at their feet. It all makes for stunning photographs of natural patterns of motion that arise from this aquatic sport (for those of you reading this by email, the video can be seen here):"

WoW Lens for iPhone puts more lenses within easy reach

WoW Lens for iPhone puts more lenses within easy reach: "The iPhone comes with a competent camera out of the box, but it could be better. We've seen a set of the third-party lenses called the iPhone Lens Dial that provides all kinds of creativity options for photographers, but it's a little on the large side, and probably not something you would want to have on your phone all the time. The WoW Lens features a similar design, but it's quite a bit smaller and much more likely to remain on the iPhone even when not in use."
