Video: Some of the Most Impressive Outdoor Photographs of 2011: "The World At Night (TWAN) recently announced the winners of the Third International Earth and Sky Photo Contest on Dark Skies Importance. Founded by TWAN and Dark Skies Awareness project in 2008, this contest grew from a regional focus  to an international effort during 2009. The winning photographs presented in the video below were created using the “TWAN style”, which requires that both the earth and the sky be captured in each photo.  This technique is referred to on the TWAN website as “landscape astrophotography.” Check out the video for a slideshow of some beautiful shots from the great outdoors."
